About Jane Meredith
Jane was born in 1964 in Australia (a Gemini). After gaining a Bachelor of Education (secondary) with majors in Sociology and Politics she worked at a variety of jobs including teaching, market research and Tarot reading. She was involved in student politics, the women’s peace movement and trade unionism. At 27 she had a child and moved to Northern New South Wales where she read and taught Tarot and organised women’s groups and rituals.
During her thirties Jane continued to work as a Tarot reader and also travelled regularly overseas, presenting workshops for the Isle of Avalon Foundation and the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury, St James’ Alternatives in London and other UK venues, as well as maintaining seasonal rituals and magical and women’s groups in Australia.
Jane has home-schooled her son for much of his life and has an avid interest in raising children according to non-sexist and spiritual values. She is a passionate reader, reluctant gardener and novice glass-mosaicer.
Jane has written stories and articles and is currently writing literary autobiography. She lives in an ambitious, perpetually unfinished house with her beloved partner and son surrounded by trees, cliffs and a variety of birds and pursues the divergent aims of a quiet, uninterrupted literary and spiritual life and an involvement in challenging and ambitious projects.
